Create Banners
from Tables
To create banners from existing
tables, select the Create Banners from Tables option from Setup|Banners.
You can
create one banner from one or more tables:
- Select the Table
rows
from each Table, to specify
as Banner columns in the banner. Use
the right arrow to select rows and the left arrow to deselect rows.
- Once selected, columns can be moved
vertically before or after other columns. The order of the columns
in the dialog box will be the display order of the columns in the
banner.
- If you want to edit the column label
and/or logic, you can double-click the Banner
column in the Banner
columns list box to open the
Edit Column dialog box.
- Edit the Column
label and/or Column logic.
- Select OK
to close the Edit Column dialog
box.
- You can specify the Banner
column width, in characters for the new banner.
- Choose OK
to name and create the new banner from the selected table(s).
Logic for the highlighted
Row is displayed below the Table rows
list box and logic for the highlighted Banner
column is displayed below the
Banner columns list box.
You can create multiple
banners from multiple tables:
This option is especially helpful if you want to
create a group of banners from a group of tables (for example, a set of
product rating scales). Once created, you can assign banner options to
the first new banner using Edit
Banner. Then, use Apply
Options to Similar Banners to copy the options from the first
new banner to the rest of the new rating scale banners without having
to individually assign the same options to each banner.
- Select the tables from the Tables list.
- The Table
rows and Banner columns
list boxes are disabled when multiple tables are selected at one time.
- The table rows from the selected
tables become the banner columns for the new banners. You cannot choose the Table
rows to use for Banner columns
when multiple tables are selected at one time.
- The Table
title from the selected banners becomes the Banner
name and Banner title
for the new banners.
- The option to Display
Banner title below Table title
will be automatically specified for the new banners when creating
multiple banners from multiple tables. You can use the Layout menu of the
Banner Editor (Edit
Banner) to change this option. You can choose Display
Banner Title Above Table Title, Display
Banner Title Below Table Title or Do
Not Display Banner Title.
Banners can have up to 255 columns (254 columns
per banner if writing output to Excel).
When
tables are converted to banners:
- The table rows become banner columns,
including the following rows: Suppressed,
Percentage off, NET,
SUB, CALC,
Statistic Base, Mean,
Standard Deviation, Standard Error
and Median.
- Other table filter,
table options and table statistics are not
converted. For example, Volumetric
rows are not
converted.
You
can edit banners created from tables using the regular Edit
Banner feature.
