Background Colors
 
Background colors can 
 be specified for Enhanced Text Reports 
 using the Background Colors option 
 of Setup|Job 
 Settings|Enhanced Text Reports or for Excel 
 reports by selecting the Use custom colors 
 option of Run|Tables|Excel 
 Options and clicking on the background color icon 
 
 to the right of this option. The results for most of your selections will 
 display in the example area of the Background 
 Report Color dialog so that you can see the effects of your background 
 color choices before processing your tables, frequency or marginal reports.
 
Choose 
 background colors from the Background 
 Report Colors dialog for the following:
Report 
 background
	- Apply 
	 a background color to Tables reports - enable this option to 
	 specify a background color for your Tables 
	 report. Choose the background color on the Set 
	 Background Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to 
	 this option.
 
	- Apply 
	 a background color to Frequency reports - enable this option 
	 to specify a background color for your Frequency 
	 report. Choose the background color on the Set 
	 Background Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to 
	 this option. This option is not 
	 applicable to Excel reports.
 
	- Apply 
	 a background color to Marginal reports - enable this option 
	 to specify a background color for your Marginals 
	 report. Choose the background color on the Set 
	 Background Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to 
	 this option. This option is not 
	 applicable to Excel reports.
 
Table 
 rows
	- Apply 
	 a background color to the row text area - enable this option 
	 to specify a background color for the row text area on your Tables report. Choose the background 
	 color on the Set Background Color 
	 dialog by clicking on the color box next to this option. This option 
	 is enabled as the WinCross default for new jobs.
 
	- Apply 
	 a background color to the table - enable this option to specify 
	 a background color for the table area of your Tables 
	 report. You can Colorize every other 
	 row, Colorize 
	 every other line or 
	 Colorize lines by cell type. 
	 Choose the background color on the Set 
	 Background Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to 
	 these options. This option is enabled as the WinCross default for 
	 new jobs with Colorize every other 
	 row as the selected default.
 
	- Colorize 
	 lines by cell type allows you to select the cell type from 
	 the drop down list of cell types. 
 
	- You can assign a different color 
	 for each cell type.
 
	- Use the Clear 
	 option to clear the background color for a selected cell type.
 
	- Apply 
	 a background color to the table statistics area - enable this 
	 option to specify a background color for the table statistics area 
	 on your Tables report. Choose 
	 the background color on the Set Background 
	 Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to this option. 
	 This option is enabled as the WinCross default for new jobs.
 
Table 
 columns
	- Apply 
	 a background color to the banner area - enable this option 
	 to specify a background color for the banner area on your Tables 
	 report. Choose the background color on the Set 
	 Background Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to 
	 this option. This option is enabled as the WinCross default for new 
	 jobs.
 
	- Apply 
	 a background color to comparison group columns - enable this 
	 option to specify a background color for the comparison groups of 
	 your Tables report. Choose 
	 the background color on the Set Background 
	 Color dialog by clicking on the color box next to this option. 
	 This option is enabled as the WinCross default for new jobs with background 
	 colors selected for comparison Group 
	 1 through Group 15.
 
	- Choose the comparison group 
	 (Group 1 to Group 15) from the 
	 drop down list of comparison groups. You can assign a different color 
	 for each comparison group.
 
	- Use the Clear 
	 option to clear the background color for a selected comparison group.
 
	- Select the Extend 
	 the comparison group column color into the banner and table statistics 
	 areas option to colorize the banner columns for comparison 
	 groups from the banner area down to the statistics area. If this option 
	 is not 
	 selected, the banner area retains the background color selected when 
	 the Apply a background color to the 
	 banner area option is enabled (or no background color if this 
	 option is not enabled) and the table statistics area retains the background 
	 color selected when the Apply a background 
	 color to the table statistics area option is enabled (or no 
	 background color if this option is not enabled).
 
	
	
		IMPORTANT: Background 
		 column color for banner 
		 columns specified on the Options tab of Setup|Banners|Edit Banner 
		 overrides 
		 colors selected for comparison group columns specified here.  | 
	
 
Clear All
Disables 
 all Background Report Colors options. 
 The Clear All option will disable 
 all of the Background Report Color 
 options but will not clear the color choices selected when these options 
 were enabled. This allows you to reuse the previously selected background 
 color by simply enabling the desired option.
 
Restore Defaults
Resets 
 all Background Report Colors options 
 to the WinCross defaults.
