When the mouse pointer is on a toolbar button, the status bar at the bottom of the screen displays that button's function. For example, for the first button in the top bar, the status bar displays New Job.
Buttons that are not active are dimmed.
If desired, you can turn off the toolbar or the status bar displays by deselecting Status Bar, Top Toolbar or Side Toolbar from the View menu.
