Select Setup|Banners|Edit Banner and choose the Options tab to specify Statistics and/or Display Options for selected columns.
For information about mean summaries and for summary statistics when values are ranges, see Row Options.
Select the column(s) from the Columns list box or choose Select All to select all of the columns at one time.
Select the Statistics you want displayed for the selected column(s):
Sample size for statistic base - Shows the total number of respondents included in the specified calculations.
Mean - report the sum of all values of a column divided by its number of values.
Mean confidence interval (lower) - Displays the lower mean confidence interval based on the selected confidence interval level specified using the Select Level option. The confidence interval level specified is used for calculating both the lower and upper mean confidence interval.
Mean confidence interval (upper) - Displays the upper mean confidence interval based on the selected confidence interval level specified using the Select Level option. The confidence interval level specified is used for calculating both the lower and upper mean confidence interval.
Standard deviation - report the standard deviation from the mean.
Standard error - report the variance from the mean.
Median - report the middle value of all values; half the values of the variable fall below the median and half fall above.
1st Quartile - Reports the value where 25% of the values fall below that value and 75% of the values fall above it.
3rd Quartile - Reports the value where 25% of the values fall above that value and 75% of the values fall below it.
Mode - Reports the value that occurs most often.
Minimum - Reports the minimum value.
Maximum - Reports the maximum value.
Effective sample size for statistic base - Creates a row on your table displaying the effective sample size used when calculating T-scores for significance testing on means.
Mean number of mentions - Reports the total number of responses divided by the total number of respondents for the row.

IMPORTANT: When statistical testing is specified for banner columns that are hidden - hidden banner columns will be removed from any comparison group assignments. A comparison group will be deleted if the result of hidden banner columns results in less than 2 banner columns in a comparison group. |
If default significance indicators (i.e. capital letters (A, B, C, D, E, etc.)) are used for comparison groups and a banner column is hidden, the significance indicators will be adjusted to maintain the alphabetic increment and order of the remaining banner columns. The significance indicator adjustments will be reflected on both the table and footnote. If the significance indicators are changed in any way from the defaults (e.g small letters (a, b, c...), numbers (1,2,3...), 2 or 3 character indicators (P1, MAL, phx...), etc.) the remaining banner columns will maintain the significance indicator that was assigned to that banner column on both the table and the footnote. |
IMPORTANT: Background column color for banner columns overrides colors selected for comparison group columns using the Background Colors options of Setup|Job Settings|Enhanced Text Reports or Run|Tables|Excel Options. |
