Syntax Checking

WinCross provides interface and run time syntax checking.

Interface syntax checking (Setup|Glossary Variables, Setup|Tables and Setup|Banners) allows you to enter variable names for variables that currently do not exist in your open data file but will be added later.
Interface syntax checking for variables that currently do not exist in your open data file will issue a warning message
Run time syntax checking will not allow your tables to process with existing syntax errors.
Syntax errors encountered at run time are written to the WinCross report log and can be viewed using View|Report Log.
