Settings|Enhanced Text Reports
In Setup|Profile
Settings, you can apply a variety of custom formatting options to
many components of your job using the Enhanced
Text Reports tab.
Important:
The Set
Font and Set Font Color
options can be used in two ways. When an individual report element
is selected, the font and color selected will be applied only
to the selected element. If a group title (such as Job
title or Table title)
is selected, the font and color will be applied to all members
in the group.
Note
1: If different fonts and colors are selected for the members
of a report element group (such as Line
1 through Line 4
of Job title), the font
and color that is displayed when the group's title element is
selected cannot reflect the various fonts and colors of the group's
members. The Set Font
and Set Color options
can quickly set all group members to a selected font or color,
but they can't be used to verify the current settings for all
members in the group.

2: Depending on the Table
resizing options selected on the Page Layout tab,
the font sizes selected may be changed in order to fit wide tables
on the report page. |
Overall
table layout - The Overall
table layout setting lets you adjust the justification or change
the font, font style, size or color. You can apply formatting preferences
to selected lines of your table report by expanding the Overall
table layout field.
- Justification
- Assigns Left, Center
or Right justification for
the overall table layout.
- Set
Font - Assigns the font, font style, size color and effects
for all of the Report elements
in the Overall table layout.
- Set
Font Color - Assigns the font color for all of the Report
elements in the Overall table
layout.
Table options
- Table
title width - Specifies the maximum table title width (up to
480 characters). This setting determines where words are wrapped to
the next line. Alternatively, you can use the vertical bar (|) to
manually specify where line breaks should occur.
- Show
blank lines - Displays blank lines in your report. Deselecting
this check box will suppress blank lines.
- Show
cell borders - Displays borders around your table elements.
Deselecting this check box will suppress this border.
Background
options - Background image and color can also be applied or cleared.
File types of *.gif, *.jpg or *.bmp
are acceptable background image files for use with formatting your Enhanced Text Report.
- Background
Image - Specifies that a background image selection will be
applied to your Enhanced Text Report.
- File
types of *.gif, *.jpg or *.bmp are acceptable background
image files.
- To select a background image choose
the browse button next
to the Background image option.
- The default location for background
image files is the folder where the job file resides.
- Tiled
image - Tiles the image selected across the background of your
overall table layout.
- Centered image
- Centers the image selected on the background of your overall table
layout.
- Stretched
image - Stretches the image selected to fill the background
of your overall table layout.
Note: The
Background Image options of Centered and Stretched do not work when writing tables to
Excel from the Run Tables
dialog and using the Use
Enhanced Text Report fonts and colors for Excel output option on the Report
Options tab. |
- Background Colors
- Save
Style As - Saves the report formatting style as a WinCross
style (*.wss) for use on
other projects.
- Load
Style - Loads an existing WinCross style (*.wss)
to use as the report formatting style for the Active
profile.
- Restore
Defaults - Restores the WinCross system defaults for
report formatting.
Table of contents
Expand the Overall
table layout field to display the Table
of contents formatting options. You can adjust the Justification
(Left, Center, Right) or change
the font, font style (Regular, Italic,
Bold, Bold Italic) size or color.
Table and page
number
Expand the Overall
table layout field to display the Table
and page number formatting options. You can adjust the Justification
(Left, Center, Right) or change
the font, font style (Regular, Italic,
Bold, Bold Italic) size or color.
Job logo 1
- Job
logo 1 formatting options let you adjust the Justification
(Left, Center, Right).
- To apply Job
logo 1 to your report, select the Browse
button, ,
in the Job logo group box
to browse to a location of your choice.
- File
types of *.gif, *.jpg or *.bmp are acceptable job logo image
files for use with formatting your Enhanced
Text Report.
- Select the position for Job
logo 1 from Top of page, Above
table title, Above table, Below table, Below footnote
or Bottom of page.
- To remove Job
logo 1 from the overall table layout, select Remove
from the Job logo group box.
Job logo 2
- Job
logo 2 formatting options let you adjust the Justification
(Left, Center, Right).
- To apply Job
logo 2 to your report, select the Browse
button, ,
in the Job logo group box
to browse to a location of your choice.
- File
types of *.gif, *.jpg or *.bmp are acceptable job logo image
files for use with formatting your Enhanced
Text Report.
- Select the position for Job
logo 2 from Top of page, Above
table title, Above table, Below table, Below footnote
or Bottom of page.
- To remove Job
logo 2 from the overall table layout, select Remove
from the Job logo group box.
Job title/Table
title/Table subtitle
- Expand the Overall
table layout field to display the Job
title/Table title/Table subtitle formatting options. Expand
the Job title/Table title/Table subtitle
fields to display each line of the title. You can adjust the Justification (Left,
Center, Right) or change the font, font style (Regular,
Italic, Bold, Bold Italic) size or color. Selecting Job
title/Table title/Table subtitle allows you to apply the same
formatting to all lines of the Job
title/Table title/Table subtitle. To apply different formatting
per line, select each line of the Job
title/Table title/Table subtitle separately.
Banner headings/Column
headings/Row text/Cell elements/Footnotes/Bottom title
- Expand the Overall
table layout field to display the Banner
headings/Column headings/Row text/Cell elements/Footnotes/Bottom title
formatting options. You can adjust the Justification
(Left, Center, Right) or change
the font, font style (Regular, Italic,
Bold, Bold Italic) size or color.
- Selecting Cell
elements allows you to apply the same formatting for all cell
elements (i.e. Frequency,
Vertical percent, Horizontal
percent etc.). To apply different formatting per cell element,
select each cell element separately.
Overall frequency
layout/Overall marginal layout
- The Overall
frequency layout/Overall marginal layout setting lets you adjust
the Justification (Left,
Center, Right) or change the font, font style, size or color.
You can choose to apply your formatting preferences to selected lines
of your frequency or marginal report by expanding the Overall
frequency layout/Overall marginal
layout field.
Overall frequency
layout|Header/Footer/Banner/Value/Frequency/Sumx/Percent/ Cumulative percent
- Expand the Overall
frequency layout field to display each line of the frequency.
Justification (Left,
Center, Right), font, font style, size or color can be modified
for each line of the Overall frequency
layout.
Overall marginal
layout|Header/Banner/Row text/Frequency/Percent
- Expand the Overall
marginal layout field to display each line of the marginal.
Justification (Left,
Center, Right), font, font style, size or color can be modified
for each line of the Overall marginal
layout.
WinCross provides
the ability to edit your formatted report by right-clicking on your mouse
to display the edit functions available (i.e. Cut,
Copy, Paste,
Undo, etc.).
