other than that displayed.
To
TAG Drive (For new customers and customers in the WinCross annual
maintenance program)
Allows
you to save your data file to our TAG Drive. TAG Drive is a cloud-based file storage
feature of the TAG
Client Portal and allows you to open and save files that are
accessible from anywhere. This can be especially helpful if you are traveling
or working from home and do not have access to your network drives from
outside of the office.
From
the menus on the TAG Drive tab, you can:
Groups
- Rename

ASCII fixed (*) data files
ASCII fixed
(*) data files can only be saved as the same type as the open data file
using File|Save|Save Data As.
Other data files
- Other data files can be saved as
ASCII fixed (*), SPSS (*.sav), comma-delimited (*.csv), tab-delimited (*.tab,
*.tsv), or MS Excel (*.xls, *.xlsx,
*.xlsm) using File|Save|Save
Data As.
- When the variable-type data file
is being saved as ASCII fixed (*) format, the Export
Width of each variable on the Variables tab
of the data grid is used for saving the data.
- When the data file is saved as a
new file name or file type, the new file is opened in WinCross.
- If a variable data file is being
viewed with the Value labels
option selected on the Data
tab of the data grid, when the data file is saved as comma-delimited
(*.csv), tab-delimited (*.tab, *.tsv),
or MS Excel (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.xlsm),
the new data file will be saved with value labels instead of code
values.
- When saving a non-SPSS variable
data file with variable names to an SPSS (*.sav)
data file and the variable names are out of compliance with SPSS rules,
WinCross will rename the variables for you and issue a message letting
you know how many variables were renamed. For example, the variable
name Q2-R1 in
an Excel data file (*.xls
or *.xlsx) would
be renamed to Q2R1
when saving that Excel data file (*.xls
or *.xlsx) to
an SPSS (*.sav)
data file. If the variable name Q2R1
was already being used in the data file, WinCross would assign another
unique variable name (e.g. Q2R100002)
to prevent duplicate variable names.

This feature is not available in WinCross Runtime version.
