CODEVALUE

CODEVALUE lets you change the corresponding value labels assigned to code values for variables in the data file.

Syntax:

CODEVALUE variable code value=value label

CODEVALUE variable code value=value label,code value=value label,code value=value label

Usage:

• You can permanently assign new value labels to corresponding code values for variables from the data file by using the CODEVALUE command and the Save Data As option of Setup|Glossary Variables.
• Using the CODEVALUE command in the Glossary without saving the data file will only affect features where the Use glossary transformations option is enabled (for example, ExpressTabs, Express Tables from Variable Data, Run Tables, Run Frequency, etc.).

Examples:

CODEVALUE Q1 1=< 1 hr per wk

CODEVALUE Q1 1=< 1 hr per wk, 2=1-3 hrs per wk, 3=4-6 hrs per wk
