Width and Spacing tab (Edit Banner)

Select Setup|Banners|Edit Banner and choose the Width and Spacing tab to change banner column spacing.

Select the column(s) from the Columns list box.
Specify the Column width, in characters and choose the Apply to Selected Column(s) button to the right of this field. The default Column width, in characters is 10.
Specify the number of Spaces before each column and choose the Apply to All Column(s) button to the right of this field. The default Spaces before each column is 1. The maximum number of spaces between banner columns is 5. The number of Spaces before each column applies to all banner columns. You cannot specify a different number of spaces between sets of banner columns.

Note: If you are editing your job file using View|Job File or using an outside text editor, keep in mind that the number of Spaces before each column is required to be the same for all banner columns. If you make this different in the job file and then edit your banner using Setup|Banners|Edit Banner, you will receive a warning with a suggestion about how to create extra spacing between columns.

If desired, enter a column divider character in the Column divider character(s) field. This character(s) will display in between each banner column for Plain text reports only (Run|Tables|Report viewing format|Plain text report). The Column divider character(s) are only visible using Preview Banner and when running reports. You can enter a maximum of 5 characters but the number of characters allowed depends on the setting for Spaces before each column. If the Spaces before each column is set to 1, you can enter 1 Column divider character. If the Spaces before each column is set to 2, you can enter 2 Column divider characters, etc.
Spacing accounts for any hidden columns; these are not counted toward the overall report width.

Note: If Enhanced text report was selected as the Report viewing format on the Run Tables dialog box when Run|Tables is selected and the banner columns have been adjusted using Setup|Banners or Setup|Banners|Edit Banner, the W# option will display at the end of the banner column logic in View|Job File to indicate how wide the banner column is specified in screen pixels (i.e. 1/5 (1)^W10). This banner column width can be adjusted on the Setup Banners dialog including the width for Row Text.
