LABEL

LABEL lets you assign a label or change an existing label for a variable.

Syntax:

LABEL variable=label

Usage:

• You can permanently assign new labels to variables from the data file by using the LABEL command and the Save Data As option of Setup|Glossary Variables.
• Using the LABEL command in the Glossary without saving the data file will only affect features where the Use glossary transformations option is enabled (for example, ExpressTabs, Express Tables from Variable Data, Run Tables, Run Frequency, etc.).

Example:

LABEL INCOME=Household Income
