Merge Data into a New Variable (Data grid)

The Data tab lets you merge multiple variables into one new variable:

• Highlight the data values for contiguous variables or the entire column for selected variables (contiguous or non-contiguous).
• Right-click anywhere on the Data tab.
• Choose Merge Data into a New Variable from the right-click context menu.
• The new variable will be added to the right of the last selected variable.
• The first new merged variable is added using the variable name Merged_01. The next new merged variable would be added using the variable name Merged_02, etc.
• The Variable Label will be the same as the Variable Name for the new merged variable.
